One of the things we like to do on the weekends is hang around in our neighborhood. Our favorite destination on Saturday mornings in the plaza outside Suntory Hall. Suntory Hall is the home of the Tokyo Philharmonic and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. There is a small farmers' market there most Saturdays, along with several nice restaurants with outdoor seating, and a large outdoor space for soaking up some sunshine.
Recently, they have installed this art piece - it is actually a huge planter. At first glance, it always makes me think of Alice in Wonderland - I don't know why, maybe because it looks like a big caterpillar?
The caterpillar-planter also offers some great Japlish: "We request you not to climb it on the work. Please watch your step and head for your safe."
