So I have fallen down on the blogging here lately - I think we left off at Thanksgiving. This year was our very first year doing the whole traditional dinner ourselves, and it turned out really well!
A turkey is just as easy to roast as a chicken (thank goodness!). We did it with cornbread stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, a green salad and apple cranberry bake for dessert.
Thanksgiving was the gateway to December - the month of the social calendar. We have been inundated with office parties, work dinners, and going away parties. Our good friends, Rich and Heather, left Japan in December, so a big group of us went out for dinner and karaoke to send them off. Karaoke involved costumes and special effects - great fun!

Now, Christmas is upon us - the month has really flown by. Michael and I will be having Christmas dinner tonight (December 23 - a national holiday in Japan) because I have to work on the 24th and 25th.
We fly out to Thailand on the evening of the 25th to meet up with Michael's family. We'll be back in the New Year with Thailand pictures, and maybe a ski trip or two. See you in 2010!
