Udon

Michael and I work in the same area, and are often able to meet up for lunch during the week. Last week we ventured out to a cute little Udon place near Tokyo Station. Udon, for the uninitiated, refers to noodles that are usually served in a big bowl with soup. I prefer the thinner noodles (similar to spaghetti), but typical Udon is really thick - like long pencils.

This bowl had thin noodles, seaweed, some herbs and mushrooms. Yummy. As you can tell, it was HUGE - I was only able to eat about 1/2 of it (That's Michael's hand for a size reference....)
