Typhoon Melor

It's our first typhoon! Typhoon Melor hit Tokyo sometime in the middle of the night last night - I woke up to sounds of emergency announcements in our neighborhood (unfortunately all in Japanese...) This morning it was still raining and super windy. Here is the view out our window.

This one is a bit more clear - unfortunately it doesn't show the way the trees are blowing.

Just because there is a typhoon doesn't mean we don't have to go to work. Michael bundled up with his rain gear over his suit to brave the elements.

There was no rain, and the sky was actually sunny by the time I left for work - but still super windy. I think I was lucky and hit a lull in the storm because from my office window I can see that the rain has picked up again.
