Girls' Trip to Hayama

Last weekend, Michael went skiing for the day.

While he was off enjoying some Fresh Untracked Powder (his number one obsession these days), I spent the day with the girls. Grace has a friend, Nami, who lives in a sleepy little beach town called Hayama, so we decided to head down there to enjoy lunch and a walk on the beach.

Hayama is probably best known for being the location of the emperor's summer palace. The royal family still uses the summer palace on occasion, and Nami told us that when they arrive, townspeople flood the streets waving little Japanese flags.

After lunch at this cute little Italian/Japanese place called Marlowe (and some seriously amazing pudding), we took Nami's dog, Picot, out for a walk on the beach.

Picot was such a good girl - she really wanted to go swimming - but stayed with us dry (and clean) humans instead.

Thanks for a great day, girls!
