Hakuba Ski Trip

We had a long weekend January 9-11 here in Japan, so we took advantage of the extra time off to take a ski trip to Hakuba with some friends. Hakuba is about an hour bus ride outside of Nagano, and hosted several of the Olympic events in 98, including the Men's Downhill.

Here are Grace and I, the bobsey twins of the group (I swear, we did not plan this). She and I were "green" slope companions while the boys took turns keeping up with Michael on the hard stuff.

After a long day of skiing, we hit the town for Japanese food and movies back at our house. It was a great opener for the ski season, and I'm sure we'll have plenty of trips to come!
