January 13, 2010 is a big day here in Down Town - not only does my better half have a milestone birthday - but today also marks one decade of our coupledom.
We celebrated the Big Birthday (not to be confused with Big Bathroom) this past weekend on a ski trip to Hakuba with some friends. After a great day of skiing we went out to dinner and had some cake, complete with candles. All in all, it was pretty low key.
The dating anniversary is just marked by the two of us - not really celebrated, but more marveled at. How is it that ten years have passed so quickly, and at the same time it seems that we have always been together? I guess that is the mark of a good thing - time flies, but you can't imagine things any other way.
Here's to another happy, healthy year!
