Another post of December activities - we went with friends of ours to Inba Marsh. We were thinking it would be a hiking trip, but it turned out to be more of a stroll. The Marsh is very beautiful, and is surrounded by farmland.
Crazily enough, there is a windmill in the middle of one of the fields bordering the marsh. It was a gift from the area's sister town in the Netherlands. At first glance it felt like we had walked into a tulip field in Holland! We love this picture - Japan and the Netherlands collide.....Even though the stroll was pretty tame, we ended up having the most trouble with directions! We spent a lot of time waiting for the guys to look at the map.
This is Blinky - he belongs to our friends Susan and Justin - gazing out upon Inba Marsh. Thanks for a great day, guys!

I too love blending of distant cultures. It looks like a beautiful place, and must have been a nice change of pace outside of the city.
Of course, the Australian bear adds an excellent touch :)
