I am finally getting our pictures from Silver Week up! We had a great time traveling over Silver Week. Due to a special alignment of the stars, we had Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off work as National Holidays. We decided to use them to our advantage and relive our college backpacking days.
We set out on Sunday, taking the Shinkansen to Okayama, on the southern coast of Honshu (the main island). From there, we took a local train to the Kibi Plain and rented bikes. There is a nice bike path through the rice paddies.
The bike path leads past all sorts of sights. We started out kind of late in the day, so we didn't stop at all of them, but this pagoda made the cut.
